Unveiling the Present Moment

To enhance the resolution of the here and now, I immerse myself fully in the present moment. Thoughts and feelings arise and pass naturally, and I allow them to flow without grasping or resisting. In this state, I remain untethered by the past or future, resting in the profound simplicity of the present. Free from attachments such as interpretation, judgment, or the desire to change anything, I embrace the reality of now without trying to control it.

Yet, our perception of the world is often shaped by many-layered filters—biases, assumptions, and expectations. These filters manifest as thoughts and feelings, obscuring the purity of the moment. To truly see, I begin to peel them away, one by one. As each filter falls, the unfiltered reality of this moment reveals itself in its fullness.

This clarity embodies sonomama, “as-it-is-ness.” Before human observation, reality simply exists—untouched by interpretation. As observers, humans naturally layer thoughts, meanings, and judgments onto what unfolds. By recognizing this tendency, I gently return to the pure, unadorned reality of the moment—just as it is.

Then, I realize that clarity isn’t something to achieve but something to uncover. It has always been here, waiting beneath layers of interpretation and resistance. Letting go, I see the world not as I wish it to be but as it truly is—vivid, fresh, raw, and alive. Each moment becomes a revelation, offering a glimpse into existence's profound simplicity and completeness.

In this space of pure presence, I understand nothing needs to be added or removed. The here and now, clear and unadorned, is enough—just as it is.
